Check In & Parking & Check In
Check In: 4 pm.
You will receive your unique door code a day prior to your check-in. If our cleaning team finishes early, we will message you so you can check in early. Please do not message and ask for an early check-in, if it is available you will be notified.
You have two parking spots: #316 in front of the house, and any unassigned spot. Please place a parking pass visible on your car when parked in any spot, including in front of the house. Ensure it has the house number (#316) and your travel dates filled in to ensure the HOA does not tow your vehicle. There should be extra parking passes available in welcome binder in the living room TV stand.
Rental Discount
As a guest of Mermaid’s Dream you are eligible for a 5% discount on your van rental with Big E Car Rental! They offer convenient airport pickup and drop-off where you can skip the rental counter lines and all the hassle, plus enjoy a 5% discount when you mention “Mermaid’s Dream” when booking your van!

TVs
All TVs have Rokus available for you to use with your preferred streaming services. Remember to sign out of your streaming services upon departure (you can select your departure date upon sign-in using guest mode and it will auto-sign out for you).
Pool & Common Areas
These are rules from the neighborhood HOA, you must follow these or there may be a $250 fine per incident and immediate termination of your reservation.
Pool hours are 8:00am – 11:00pm.
Pool Access Code: (provided with door code message prior to arrival)
Air filled pool toys and floats only. No boogie boards, noodles or styrofoam type toys.
No glass in pool area.
Pool use is restricted to listed guests only.
Guests must abide by all posted rules when using the pool.
No parties are permitted on common grounds, pool area, or parking lots.
No children under age of 14 without supervision of a person 18 years or older.
No skateboards, scooters, or in-line skating permitted within Gulf Stream Cottages community.
No playing ball of any kind in parking lot area.
Trash & Recycling
Trash service is on Monday mornings. Please take the trash cans to the street behind the house Sunday evening. Once a month the trash can cleaning service will clean the bins, so please only return the bins to the patio on Monday evenings.
Pets & Smoking Prohibited
Unfortunately the HOA prohibits pets, therefore absolutely no pets of any kind are allowed inside the house.
Smoking is also prohibited inside the house and near the doorways.
Violations of either pets or smoking will result in termination of reservation and $250 fine.
Appliances and Equipment
The dishwasher must be pushed hard at the top of the door in order to close completely and run. If you’re having trouble with it, just push it really hard.
Please treat the appliances and all equipment in the house as if it was your own.
Improper use, damaging, tampering, or attempting to disable or inhibit the operation of any of the appliances and equipment, such as the thermostat, smoke detectors, or the doorbell will result in immediate termination of the reservation and a $250 fine.
Quiet Hours
Radios, televisions and other audio equipment should be kept at a reasonable level at all times. Per City of Myrtle Beach ordinances, “Sleeping hours are considered 11:00PM-7:00AM”. Violation will result in immediate termination of the reservation and a $250 fine.
House Condition Concerns
Please reach out via the messaging app/website immediately upon discovering any issues with the house (cleanliness, functionality, etc.) and we will do our best to get it fixed for you.

Departure
Check out time is 10am.
Please honor this time so that our local cleaning team has time to prepare the house for our next guests. Guests that have not left by 10am will be charged a late check out fee of $200.
Upon departure please:
– Wash all used dishes (dishwasher running is okay)
– Empty refrigerator and freezer
– Empty trash to large trash cans in back patio
– Sign out of any TV streaming accounts you logged in to
– DO NOT strip the beds

Beach Access
Mermaid’s Dream is located in Gulf Stream Cottages, between 19th Ave South and 20th Ave South.
The beach is 2.5 short blocks to the East (approximately 800 feet and takes about a 3 minute walk).
Beach access is at the end of 19th Ave S or Hurl Rocks Park, both have ramps for beach wagons.
Local Recommendations
For groceries and household supplies, you can walk one block up Yaupon Dr / Sand Dunes Dr over to the Walmart Neighborhood Market. Several grocery providers in the area, including Walmart, also offer scheduled grocery delivery so you can order ahead and have your groceries scheduled to arrive when you do!
For last minute gifts and beach gear, walk one block up 20th Ave towards Kings Highway to Whale’s.
The Market Common is a short drive and has a wide variety of excellent restaurants, shops, walking trails, playgrounds, and more. Another great driving destination is Broadway At The Beach as well as Murrells Inlet.
For walkable restaurants, the Angus Steakhouse and Seafood restaurant is a block away and has excellent dinner specials. E Noodles & Co is right next door and is always a great choice. For ocean front dining walk a couple blocks over to Mako’s On The Boulevard.
Rental Agreement
By staying at the Mermaid’s Dream you agree to all terms of the Rental Agreement.
